Campaign character
The person who calls the session
Rookie regularly pressed for a sitrep, asked when the group was doing something, and proposed a night to get people moving. He was the social and technical hinge: handling restarts and the mod setup, then enthusiastically telling everyone they would never need to install mods themselves again.
- Gathered a full set of flametal gear and liked comparing DPS after boss fights.
- Turned the race to finish Valheim into a deadline before Voj’s baby arrived.
- Kept “we leave no Viking behind” as the group’s best statement of intent.
- Played gatekeeper for the server data while joking that Linda would leak his credit-card details.

The joke archive
- Called the rest of the server “all griefers” whenever events went poorly.
- Was repeatedly slapped, proposed a slapVOJ mod, and returned the joke freely.
- Was teased about Genshin slimes and leaned into the bit.
- Teased Voj for going to bed during a rare opportunity to game.
- Once logged in four times in twenty minutes; the bot called it connection trouble or commitment trouble.
What the evidence cannot prove
Keep the ledger honest
Kill and death logging measures events, not leadership, hauling, revives, planning or who made a night happen. Rookie’s profile is the record of one campaign—not a complete identity.
Recorded field notes
The campaign behind the kill count
- The server began from Rookie’s charter: “I’ll get my ai on it asap.” The AI-assisted server and mod-manager experiment were part of the campaign from the start.
- Rookie’s practical role was converting friction into another session: he handled server-side issues, directed people to the client pack, pressed for a sitrep, and asked when the crew was doing something next.
- Early Discord record: repeated questions about copper, activity and DPS. The final archive preserves the answers where logs can support them, and leaves unknowns unknown.
- The combat ledger cannot count organising, hauling, recovery runs, building or morale. Those are exactly the contributions the Chief’s profile is expected to have outside the scoreboard.
